Three staging tips to get your home ready to show.

There are many things that you can do to get your home ready to present it to buyers. Below are three things that you should not overlook.

Depersonalize and Declutter. Now is the time to pack away in boxes all those sentimental knickknacks that are cluttering up your home. Remove family pictures. You want buyers to picture their family in their new home not yours. Don’t forget to clear clutter from your closets too. Ideally, to make it look more spacious, you want to keep your closet filled at under 70% of its capacity.

Your curb appeal sets the first impression. Make sure your grass is neatly mowed and that there are no weeds. Invest in planting bright flowers to cheerfully welcome buyers. Even adding a bed of colorful flowers outside a window can brighten up your home's exterior. Do not clutter the driveway with cars.

Open up space by tying back your curtains. Bare windows are ideal for bringing the outside in and providing natural light to a room. If you don’t want to remove your curtains, make sure that they are always open for home showings. This also includes shower curtains.

Happy showing!
