Types of Visits
Well Annual Visit. Covered by Medicare and most health plans, a well annual visit is one of the most important things you can do for your yourself. These annual check-ups can help catch health issues before they advance to a serious stage. It is important that you are upfront with your doctor in these visits, discuss your stress levels, your mood, your activity level, sharing these types of details about your life, helps your doctor understand your know what to look and test you for. A good reminder is to schedule your annual visits around your birthday.
Sick visit. This is an office visit when you are not feeling well or had a flare-up of a chronic problem. A sick visit could also be a scheduled office visit to follow-up on chronic problems (Diabetes, Cholesterol, Blood Pressure, etc.). Because we never plan on getting sick, Better Care of Broward Medical Center welcomes Walk-ins.

Well Woman Exam. This office visit is all about prevention and planning. Your doctor will review elements of your reproductive health. A Well Woman visit (depending on your age) typically includes a breast examination, a pelvic examination, and a pap smear.
Immunizations / Vaccines. To help prevent diseases many vaccines are recommended and to prevent a public outbreak of contagious diseases, some immunizations are required for certain activities, such as attending schools, traveling to certain countries, etc.
DNA Paternity Test. Our paternity test is accepted by courts for family disputes and immigration cases requiring DNA evidence.
Complete Physical (School/Work/Sports). Requirements of physicals can vary by state, workplace, and sport. Be sure to check with the school, Human Resources, or sports program administrator accordingly, about the necessary requirements. Most will provide you with their own form for your physician to complete and sign, so don’t forget to bring these forms.
Immigration Exam. If you are in the U.S., the immigration medical exam must be conducted by a physician designated by USCIS (also known as a "civil surgeon"). Print out and bring the most recent version of Form I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record to your medical exam appointment. Complete Part 1 of Form I-693 but do not sign until the doctor instructs you to do so. The civil surgeon will use Form I-693 to document the results of your medical exam and will complete, sign, and seal Form I-693 and any supporting documents in an envelope. You must submit the sealed envelope to USCIS as directed in the Form I-693 instructions. Do not break the seal or open this envelope. USCIS will not accept Form I-693 if it is not in a sealed envelope or if the envelope is altered in any way.
